No rest for the wicked, as the saying goes.
Dave continues to work on the Ofcom form for when they say we can apply, and having lots of meetings to discuss our sustainability in the future.
On top of that, the internal building work should be finished in the near future, so we’ll have a ‘tidy’ office in the radio station, which will be great.
The live lounge now boasts a comfy leather settee and the whole building will be painted soon so should look much smarter.
The Radio Experience Days will start soon, with groups of 4 people spending a day at the Radio Station, learning new skills.
So far, pretty good. A few technical problems, but apart from that everything’s going well. It’s good to have the team back together again, as well as lots of new people too.
We’re having a tidy up and hoovering session today. Lots of mess has been made over the last few weeks, with all the electrical and building work, but we’re nearly there - just as well really as we go on air a week tomorrow - scary!
Tonight a group of Scouts from Ashill are in the Studios learning how to script, produce and put together a 15 minute programme.
Lots of work has been going on in the studios over the last few weeks. Dry lining walls, putting in new electrics to connect the two studios and the ‘Live Lounge’, central heating and soundproofing. In this pic. you can see the main studio with the new soundproofing. Steve Jolly stole our breadknife to cut the tiles!!!

…………..the Singing Farmer entertained both the listeners, and Steve Jolly during the DriveTime Show on Monday of this week

On Friday’s Drive Time programme Roger Woods interviewed c lown, Alex Morley from Stow Bedon.
Roger wasn’t sure about the circus skills, but was very taken with Alex’s multi coloured hair!

Can’t believe we’re nearly three quarters of the way through our 28 days.
We’ve gathered some new volunteers along the way, and met some fascinating people who have been interviewed on our shows.
Had a scary moment yesterday, when the main power switch was knocked to the off position, meaning that we went off air for what seemed like at least half an hour, but was probably only a couple of minutes!
