Alan Watson was turned on to Rock'n Roll by a combination of an elder cousin who sang in a group and visits to the fairground where the music on the dodgems always seemed to be the latest Elvis, Little Richard etc.
From then, it was onwards and upwards. The 'Beatle' suits, denim jackets when Dylan and Donovan came along, long hair shorn and made to measure suits for the Small Faces at Doncaster Top Rank and Creation at the Side Saddle. From there, hair of varying lengths for Van der Graaf Generator, Sex Pistols, REM, Primal Scream, P J Harvey and, at 60, still going to gigs!
